The part most bids skip
Attic air sealing in Delray Beach
Insulation slows heat. It does not stop the holes. Bath fans, wire penetrations, open chases, and a leaky hatch move humid house air into a hot attic all summer. We seal those before we blow.

- —Top plates, wire holes, cans, fans, hatch
- —Comes standard ahead of blown-in
- —Stops humid air from feeding the attic
- —Can be scoped on its own
Why Delray feels it
The house is air-conditioned. The attic is not. Every hole in the ceiling is a chimney for cool air leaving and for attic heat and humidity pressing back. Piling R-value on top of those holes is how a bid looks thick and the hallway still feels sticky.
Lake Ida and the Intracoastal houses feel this first. Moisture does not care about a brand of insulation.
What gets sealed
The attic hatch gets weatherstrip and insulation on the lid, or it is the biggest hole in the ceiling. Bath fans get ducted outside, not left blowing into the insulation. Recessed lights that are not rated to be covered get a treatment that does not create a fire problem. Top plates and wire holes get foam.
We do not foam every nail pop for theater. We seal the leaks that move air. You can see them when the old insulation is pulled back.
