Delray insulation, answered
How much does insulation cost in Delray Beach?
Blown-in attic work in Delray most often lands between $1,500 and $4,000. That is the range we publish. Removal, spray foam, and a heavy air-seal add to it. The calculator on this site is a planning range from attic floor area. The bid comes after we see the attic.
Should I get blown-in or spray foam?
Vented attic, equipment in the house: blown-in on the ceiling, to R-38. Air handler and ducts living in the attic, and you want that space out of the weather: spray foam on the roof deck. We price both when both are honest. We do not default to the expensive one.
What R-value do you install?
We top attic floors to R-38 and we mark the depth so you can see it. That is the ceiling level this climate is built around. If a code official or your permit asks for paperwork, we give you the product and the depth, not a shrug.
Do you remove old insulation?
Yes, when it should come out. Dry, clean, thin material can usually stay and be topped. Wet, contaminated, or packed-flat material gets vacuumed out first. Covering a bad attic is how the smell stays.
How long does a Delray attic take?
A straight blown-in is usually one day. Removal plus new insulation can run into a second day on a big or ugly attic. Spray foam is scheduled on its own so the house is prepped and nobody is rushed through a cure.
Will insulation fix humidity?
It helps the house hold the setpoint, which helps the AC dehumidify instead of short-cycle. It does not fix a bath fan blowing into the attic, a roof leak, or an AC that is the wrong size. We seal the ceiling leaks we can see. We will tell you when the problem is not insulation.
Do you work in HOA communities like Kings Point?
Yes. Kings Point, Seven Bridges, Delray Trails, and the other gated places. Have the gate notes and the association name when you call. We send insurance certificates when the HOA wants them.
Are you a local crew?
Cardinal Insulation of Boca Raton is based at 4263 NW 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431. Delray is a daily run, not a subcontract we hand to whoever answers. Ask for the license and insurance certificates before we step on the property. We will send them.
Do you do a thermal camera look?
Yes. On the inspection we can show you where the ceiling is losing. You should see the attic, not just hear about it. The camera is a tool. The bid is still based on measuring the attic.
Which Delray ZIP codes do you cover?
33444, 33445, 33446, 33483, and 33484. Pineapple Grove, Lake Ida, Tropic Isle, downtown, Kings Point, Seven Bridges, Delray Trails, Osceola Park, and beachside houses. If you are in Boynton or Boca and landed here, call anyway. Same crew.
Is there an FPL rebate?
Sometimes. FPL incentive rules change, and not every attic qualifies. We will tell you straight if a current program fits your house. We do not print a dollar amount that expired last season.
When are you open?
The phone is answered 24 hours, 7 days. Attic work is scheduled in daylight. If the house cannot hold temperature or something in the attic is actively wrong, call (561) 654-7698.
