When the old stuff has to leave
Insulation removal in Delray Beach
Settled, soaked, rodent-packed, or just wrong. Sometimes the attic has to be emptied before anything new goes in. We vacuum it out, then we insulate it like a clean job, not a cover-up.

- —Vacuum removal, not a shovel into the yard
- —Done before new blown-in or foam
- —Rodent, moisture, and fallen-batt attics
- —Most homes are empty and ready the same visit
When removal is worth it
A thin, dry, clean layer can stay and get topped. A layer that is soaked, mold-stained, loaded with droppings, or so uneven that new insulation would just hide it, comes out. Covering a wet attic is how you buy the job twice.
Delray’s older CBS houses and the ranches west of I-95 often have a first generation of batts that have been disturbed by AC techs, cable runs, and storage. If we can save it, we say so.
How the attic gets emptied
Hose in, material into bags, deck swept enough to see the drywall and the top plates. That is when air sealing is actually possible. You cannot seal what you cannot see.
We tell you before we start if the hatch is too small, the roof is too low, or the contamination is past a normal insulation pull. No surprise change-order in the driveway.
