Only when the attic should be sealed
Spray foam insulation in Delray Beach
Spray foam belongs on the roof deck when the attic is part of the house: air handler up there, ducts baking, or you are done with a vented attic. It is the wrong product for a simple top-up. We will tell you which one you have.

- —Roof-deck foam, not a sales default
- —Open-cell or closed-cell after the attic is seen
- —Makes sense when ducts and the air handler live upstairs
- —Priced off roof area, not a phone guess
Delray heat and the air handler
A vented Delray attic can sit well past 130 degrees. If the air handler and the ductwork live in that oven, you are cooling the attic before you cool the bedrooms. Foam on the underside of the roof turns that volume into a buffer instead of an oven.
If the equipment is in a closet and the ducts are in the house, foam is usually extra money for a problem blown-in already solves. We would rather lose that upsell.
Open-cell, closed-cell, and humidity
Open-cell is the common attic foam here: it fills odd bays and does not turn the roof deck into a sealed jar the way a careless closed-cell job can. Closed-cell has a place when you need rigidity or a specific moisture plan. Neither gets sprayed until we know how the roof vents, where the bath fans go, and whether the attic will stay vented or not.
Foam changes the attic. Venting, combustion equipment, and can lights all get a look before the gun comes out.
What a spray day looks like
The house is prepped, the attic is masked, and nobody is walking foam while it is still moving. You get a straight scope: where it goes, how thick, and what we are not foaming. Smell and cure time are part of the conversation before we book, not after.
